The Enabler Medal

by Nancy Moyer

The Enabler Medal

Created in 2006, this medal is for the American taxpayer who, through tax payments, enabled George W. Bush to invade Iraq. Due to this source of funding, Bush was able to spend billions of dollars pretending to fight terrorism.

The Medal is made of copper, acrylic sheet and gold metal leaf - nothing too fancy, but it looks important. A brief listing of actions meriting the medal floats in the center. Hidden behind it is the gold metal-leaf disk, symbolizing the monetary support. Thanks to the American taxpayer.
